Recursero de Evaluación
This tool is a condensed version of the Agile Evalution kit. It contains the key graphs and principles, including the Argentinian government's model on the lifecycle of innovation (Planificacion, Monitoreo, Evaluacion), theory of chain explanation, proposed learning modules, a Logic Model matrix of indicators, and several lists of evaluation questions.
I used the Recursero de evaluación for a case study that was about the evaluation design of a project of organic farming in Nicaragua.
The toolkit provides a short but complete introduction to evaluative thinking. It highlights the importance of evaluation in policymaking and the aspects that should be considered by public policymakers for efficient evaluation. It divides the process into three parts: planning, monitoring, and evaluation. It explains different theories for each step of the process. It also introduces to agile management. It is really valuable for policymakers that are just incorporating the agile approach.
The toolkit is easy to read. It gathers the principal theories and gives concrete ways and examples of how to apply them in different colour tables. Each step has a colour, which makes it easier to understand.
For the concrete case study in which I used it, the toolkit was not precise enough. With my team, we needed to adapt the content. In that sense, the examples provided by the toolkit were really helpful.
