Northeast Coordination of Mexico COVID-19

Innovative response

Creation of a common front between the governments of Nuevo Leon, Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Durango and Michoacán to define six points to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Specific issues addressed and anticipated impact

Regional coordination to harmonize actions in health and create a financial fund. The governors and their respective teams coordinate in topics such as patient care strategies, equipment for designated COVID hospitals, coordinated strategy for economic recovery and coordinated strategy against a potential raise in crime as a product of the economic crisis.
